Hispasat to issue ~ $115M RFP for Iris2 low-LEO payloads; creates Q-Design consortium for quantum key distribution

LE BOURGET, France — Satellite fleet operator Hispasat, one of the three members of the SpaceRise consortium managing development of Europe’s Iris2 multi-orbit secure connectivity constellation, expects to issue bid requests to industry in August for Iris2’s low-LEO component, industry officials said.
