EU Commissioner seeks to reassure ESA governments about an ESA-started reconnaissance constellation

LE BOURGET, France — European Defence and Space Commissioner Andrius Kubilius sought to reassure European Space Agency (ESA) governments about the speed and scale of investment needed for a proposed constellation of high-resolution imaging reconnaissance satellites, saying it would start by making use of existing orbital assets.

In a briefing here June 18 at the Paris air show, Kubilius said he was aware that some ESA nations worried about different aspects of the Earth Observation Government Service (EOGS), including how much funding it would need . . .
