AMSTERDAM — The European Space Agency (ESA) has raised its funding goal for November’s ministerial conference based on positive indications from its 23 member governments and now expects to propose a three-year budget of 23 billion euros ($26.25 billion), a 36% increase over what it received three years ago, according to European government officials.
With five months to go before the ministerial, it’s still possible that one or more nation will need to reduce its ambitions. This could have large consequences if the reversal comes in France, Germany . . .
