AMSTERDAM — The arrival of the heavy-lift Ariane 6 and return to operations of the medium-lift Vega-C rocket has done little to ease the European Commission’s concerns about Europe’s future access to space.
Both vehicles are on track to increasing their launch rates in the next two years. Managers say that with higher-volume production, they can get per-launch costs down to a level that enables them to compete on the global market.
