LA PLATA, Maryland — Merchant small-satellite manufacturer GomSpace AB, apparently abandoning hope that a large unnamed customer will ever pay its bills, has suspended work on the project and cut its 2022 revenue forecast by 20%.
Denmark- and Sweden-based GomSpace said its 2022 earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT) will be a negative 80%, compared to a negative 15%, as a consequence. The 2022 revenue forecast, which had been 278 million Swedish krona ($25.5 million), has been cut to 220 million krona at the midpoint.
