PARIS — Investors in satellite-to-unaltered-cell-phone startup AST SpaceMobile Inc. are likely to be presented with a first test of their patience if the company misses the scheduled launch of its proof-of-concept satellite.
As other space startups are likely to find out sooner or later, schedule slips that are perfectly normal in the industry, for launches and satellites, will take on a greater importance when these companies’ revenue forecasts are downgraded as a result.
