PARIS — Stratospheric platform builders Aalto HAPS and Sceye, both of which have spent years perfecting operations of their very different designs, said they have flown enough to have mastered operations and are within months of starting commercial operations with selected government and commercial customers.
Both companies have received substantial support in Japan and said they are now focusing on direct-to-device applications that would take advantage of their proximity to the ground in addition to Earth observation, 6G connectivity and military applications.
