WASHINGTON — SES has purchased 28 high-power satellite buses from startup K2 Space as part of a long-term commitment that SES says should include around 100 spacecraft filling out the company’s medium-Earth-orbit constellation.
SES said the K2 Space contract, disclosed here March 24 at the Satellite 2026 conference, organized by Access Intelligence, is separate from SES’s work on the European Commission’s Iris2 multi-orbit constellation, for which SES is responsible for the MEO-orbit shell of 18 . . .
