AST and New Providence step out of a dream and ask investors to believe it

PARIS — Startup mobile satellite service provider AST & Science LLC and its special purpose acquisition (SPAC) investor, New Providence Acquisition Corp.,  want to postpone their merger and subsequent stock-market placement by two months, to June 15, to give New Providence time to schedule a shareholder meeting.

The extension will give prospective investors in the publicly traded AST SpaceMobile additional time to study one . . .
